Hi! I'm not sure if you have the book:
"Baguazhang: Emei Baguazhang Theory and Applications (Chinese Internal Martial Arts); Written by: Liang Shou-yu, Yang Jwing-Ming, Wu Wen-Ching."
It's a great reference!!!
In the hope of fueling your post to the community, I hope the following links from our "Articles" prove insightful!:

Methods of projecting types of force
I am curious as to the methods of Fa-jin delivery within the Emei Bagua system. Contained within YinFu Lion Bagua we use sweeping, chopping, blocking, smashing, shocking, hooking, seizing, and grasping force methods. This gives us, from my limited understanding within Lion method, rolling, penetrating, and shocking Fa-jin. I have always admired the grace and harmony of Emei Bagua but it differs from what I am used to. Is the Fa-jin made subtle in the forms work and strike practice? Forgive me if I sound unlearned on this question. I know its there it can easily be witnesed when I look at applications being performed. I am just used to seeing it over-emphisized in the training of two of the four pillars. |

Hello, I am a Golden Serpent Boxer and I currently train in Yin Fu Lion System Bagua. I have been looking for 23 years for information or someone else that has practiced Golden Serpent Boxing to finnish my training in the art. I have been involved in Chinese martial arts since I was 3 years old. I trained Golden Serpent Boxing for 3 and a half years before my instructor and friend passed away. I am hoping to expand my understanding of Bagua while I search for another Golden Serpent teacher. I currently live in Overland Park, Kansas. |

Hi chae, I spoke with Helen and unfortunately she doesn't have any contact information. I think your best option is to find a martial arts store and have a look at their selection. If you still want something custom made, they would probably know a few people that could get it done for you. |

Hello - New to the forum, but been a follower of GM Liang and Master Helen for a few years now. I'm not sure if this is in the right thread, but where do GM and Helen get their silk uniforms? All of Helen's are so pretty and GM's uniform he wore at the KungFuMagazine.com tournament was great as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much! |

pages 188 -206 can all be done one after another in one long big session or can be done separetely or combined as a person feels is best for them (the individual).
Also see previously posted:
http://www.shouyuliang.com/syl/syl-community/view-postlist/forum-7-qigong-chi-kung/topic-497-energy-healing
So, for your next step, part 2, pages 192-195, spend about 20 minutes on this part as well in the beginning. After you're comfortable and more developed in this then you can cut down and progress to the next section. Eventually time spent on each section will become a natural individual "feeling". |

Sexual Energy
The only thing I have read is that jing moves naturally downwards to the sexual organs, and that there are methods in which the jing does not descend but rather rises in the body. I do not know any of these methods but I find two things that have helped me with this particular challenge. 1. Qi tends to flow where the mind goes, you might choose to use some visualization techniques in which the sexual energy transforms into another form that you personally may have need of. 2. If you look at Tony Bujas's article on getting more out of your Qigong and meditation, he has a preparatory exercise which focuses on the harmony of all the individual systems of the human existence. The exercise puts the emotional/mental/physical/heart/spiritual systems back in balance and synchronization to work together. This may help to balance your energies.
Lastly all I have to say is that I have found from experience if I send out the intent mentally, or writing or speaking, with true intent "I am looking for a solution to _______" I will usually find an answer within the week by having strong intent in the phrase. If you search intently I am sure you will find the answer.
Best of Luck |

Emitting, Absorbing, and Healing Qigong
Hello, I have recently been working with the 4th book in the Qigong empowerment which focuses on emitting, absorbing and healing qigong. I have been practicing the building qi posture for 20 minutes for a couple weeks now. As I am now looking to add the testing qi, I have a few questions that come to mind. What is a general amount of time to practice each of the emitting methods before moving on to another one? and also should the previous methods still be maintained and practiced and if so how often?
I am looking in general for a plan of practice that I can follow. I don't mind spending a long amount of time on any technique, I am looking for guidance in my training. Thank you. |

Sexual Energy
Greetings: I am wondering what is the best way to incorporate sexual energy in my qigong practice. I am mostly practicing the Daoist forms of qigong at this time, microcosmic and macrocosmic circulation. After a period of abstinence from sexual activity, say a month or two, the sexual energy has become rather strong. What is the best way to collect this energy and put it to work in my daily practice. Even at my age, 64, this lustfulness is inappropriate to my spiritual goals and it is my understanding that the Daoist masters have figured out how to put the sexual energy to good use in qigong.
Thanks in advance for your help with this - Regards - Brian |

From the standing position you drop down and start circling (arcing) the arm.
The arm goes down to your right foot towards your left foot and straight up so that your right biceps is very close to your right ear, pivot your feet so you end up with most of your weight on your left leg as shown by the empty stance in Fig 5-5. Continue the arm motion (the circling/arcing) and hit yourself with your "triceps" and the lower/back part of your elbow. The energy is directed down along the forearms to contact. Hope this helps. |
